Who We Are
A Band with the roots in the 60's, 70's and 80's
Inspired by the timeless music and songs from the American west Coast of what we like to call the golden era of music.
The story of WestCoastProject began with long time friends and collaborators Torbjörn Åhström and Henrik Roos meeting and starting talking about doing something together. The discussion took the line of an image picturing taking down the top of the cabriolet and prepairing for a long road trip...the most important question here was...which music would put on the car stereo for this long journey.
Pretty soon sources of inspiration started coming in the form of bands, artists and songs from the 60's, 70's and 80's. This became the framework and clear address for the project. Shortly after a wildly creative process started with many songs being written. But however two people is a bit short to start a band, so a process of finding more people to join the ship started.
After a long period of try outs the band structure started settling with two lead vocalists, two guitarists, bass, drums and keyboard.
And today WestCoastProject proudly consists of - Janne Eriksson and Ronny Hemlin on lead vocals and guitar, Henrik Roos and Tomas Wallin on guitars, Torbjörn Åhström on the drums and backup vocals, Andreas "Anden" Segemark on the bass and Mikael Gunnerås on keyboards and backup vocals.
Our first release "The One" features Ronny Hemlin on the lead vocals and the song was released in late july 2020 on streaming services and a music video on YouTube and facebook.
